ABOUT THE BOOSTERS (IMPORTANT)
As most of you know, Julia Holian (President) and Molly Clancy (Vice President) have graduating seniors and will be leaving the board at the end of this year. At the same time, our Treasurer, Kirsten Schick has accepted a fabulous new job and will no longer be able to carry out the duties of her position.

We need parents to step up and help run Northgate’s Choral Music Boosters program in 2019-2020. None of these roles are extremely time consuming, but they do require regular attendance, strong organizational and communication skills, some technical expertise, creative problem solving, a sense of humor, and a dose of patience.

Board roles and responsibilities (may change based on talents of parent volunteers):

  • President - Liaison with Choir Director, Booster officers, and choir families on all activities, needs, problems, etc. Run monthly booster meetings. (time commitment is 5+ hours per month)
  • Vice President – Coordinates and trains parent volunteers for Winter & Spring Concerts and Musical America using Sign-Up Genius. Keeps the NCMB website current with updated information and pictures. Supports NCMB President and Choir Director, as needed. (average time commitment is 3-5 hours per month)
  • Secretary – Takes minutes during monthly booster meetings. Manages and updates NCMB’s Google Drive. Supports NCMB President and Choir Director, as needed. (average time commitment is 2 hours per month)
  • Treasurer – Collects choir family donations at beginning of school year, tracks money from fundraising for each choir, pays fees for festivals, offsite events, and choir purchases (clothing, music, etc.). Processes reimbursements, and manages Paypal and RevTrack donations. Works with outside CPA to create budget, manage finances (Quickbooks), and submit taxes. (time commitment is 5+ hours per month)

  • Madrigal Parent Rep(s) – Helps choir with gig & fundraising plans (this is extensive in the month of December), finances, costumes, and chaperone needs, while also being the liaison between the choirs and NCMB. Coordinates parent drivers for gigs/fundraising. Works with choir to conduct costume checks before Musical America.
  • Bella Voce Parent Rep(s) - Helps choir with gig & fundraising plans (this picks up in the month of December), finances, costumes, and chaperone needs, while also being the liaison between the choirs and NCMB. Coordinates parent drivers for gigs/fundraising. Works with choir to conduct costume checks before Musical America.
  • Cantiamo Parent Rep(s) – Helps choir with gig & fundraising plans (currently mostly refreshment sales at concerts; Cantiamo needs to secure more fundraising opportunities), finances, costumes, and chaperone needs, while also being the liaison between the choirs and NCMB. Coordinates parent drivers for gigs/fundraising. Assists with refreshment sales at concerts. Works with choir to conduct costume checks before Musical America.
  • Il Coro Parent Rep(s) - Help choir with gig & fundraising plans (currently only flower sales at concerts; Il Coro needs to secure more fundraising opportunities), finances, costumes, and chaperone needs, while also being the liaison between the choirs and NCMB. Coordinates parent drivers for gigs/fundraising. Assists with purchasing of flowers, creating flower bouquets, and overseeing flower sales at concerts. Works with choir to conduct costume checks before Musical America.
  • Concert Choir Parent Rep(s) - Works with choir to conduct costume checks before Musical America.
